Refund & Digital Goods Policy

MindForge Academy products are digital downloads — printable PDFs and ZIP archives delivered instantly after purchase. Because the file is available the moment the transaction completes, our standard policy is "all sales final." We will, however, work with you in good faith if something has genuinely gone wrong.
In plain English: digital downloads aren't refundable the same way physical goods are, because we can't take the file back once you've downloaded it. But if the file is broken, the wrong product, or you were double-charged, we will fix it.
1. What You're Buying
- You are buying a license to download and use a digital file (or set of files) — typically PDF and sometimes ZIP.
- The file is delivered to your account download page and (where applicable) by email immediately after Stripe confirms payment.
- The license terms are in Section 3 of our Terms of Service.
By clicking "Purchase & Download," you acknowledge that the digital product is delivered immediately, that you waive any statutory right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to digital content, and that refunds are governed by this policy.
2. When We Do Issue a Refund
We will issue a full refund within 30 days of purchase if:
- The file is corrupt, broken, or unreadable and we cannot provide a working replacement within 5 business days.
- You were charged for a product you did not buy (e.g. duplicate charge, unauthorized transaction). Contact us first; if the issue is unauthorized use of your card, you should also notify your bank.
- The product was materially misrepresented — i.e. what you received is fundamentally different from what the listing page described (not "I changed my mind").
- You bought the wrong item by mistake within 24 hours, and have not downloaded the file — at our discretion, and only if the download has not been accessed.
3. When We Do Not Issue a Refund
- You changed your mind after downloading the file.
- You did not like the design, layout, or content but received what was described.
- You bought the same product twice and downloaded both copies.
- The product does not fit a use case that was never advertised (e.g. expecting a digital app when the listing clearly described a printable PDF).
- You experienced printing issues caused by your own printer, paper, or third-party print service.
- More than 30 days have passed since the purchase date.
4. How to Request a Refund
- Email hello@mindforgekids.io within 30 days of purchase.
- Include: the email address on the order, the approximate date of purchase, the product name, and a brief description of the problem. If the file is broken, please attach a screenshot.
- We will respond within 3 business days. If a refund is approved, it is processed via Stripe back to the original payment method and typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
5. Family Pass (Subscription) Refunds
The Family Pass subscription is billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds for already-billed Family Pass periods are not provided as a matter of course, but we may issue a partial refund at our discretion if you cancel within 48 hours of an unintended renewal.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a purchase, please email us first — we are a small team and almost every issue can be resolved within a few days. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us makes it harder, slower, and more expensive for us to help you. We reserve the right to suspend access to any account that initiates a fraudulent chargeback on a product that was successfully delivered.
7. Etsy Purchases
If you purchased a MindForge Academy product from our Etsy store, that order is governed by Etsy's policies and refund process, not this page. Use Etsy's "Contact shop" or "Open a case" flow on the order itself; we'll see and respond to it there.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase is the one that governs that purchase.
